The main idea of sensory integration is plasticity, ie the ability of the brain to change depending on the experience. Insufficient motor experience is needed to improve function.
As part of sensory integration, the therapist helps the child feel better by giving the right dose to her skin, joint receptors and vestibular system. Gaining experience of sensations and their recognition allows you to improve speech, behavior, movement and become more successful.
